Acne Free Skin
by John
One can be too lucky to have great, acne free skin. For those who have imperfect skin like me, you can still achieve healthy skin you like by taking care of it, inside and out.
I had good skin in my younger years. But ever since I reached adolescence, my face tended to be oily and sensitive. A mere peep at the sun can cause my face to have little bumps which turn into pimples. Likewise, dust and pollution can easily cause my skin to break out.
I seldom go to the beauty salons to have my makeup done since this requires the artist to touch my face and this has caused my face to have rashes. Some may think this as an over statement, but it is the truth.
There are other factors that contribute to troubled skin. Others may think, otherwise, but these are the things I noticed:
• When I’m experiencing a lot of stress, it shows on my skin. It produces more oil than usual that leads to acne. • Every time I don’t sleep regularly, I acquire pimples. Not only this, I look haggard, but that’s another story. • There are times when I don’t drink at least 8 glasses a day and somehow, some form of acne appears on my skin. • When I don’t move my bowels regularly, it has some bad effects on my skin. Perhaps, this may be due to the toxins that are trapped inside. • Some may oppose this but every time I take unhealthy meals like those with fats, it tends to make my skin oilier and more prone to pimples. • This is a sure thing. Whenever I sleep with a trace of makeup on, I get pimples the next day. • I tried experimenting with products without reading about the ingredients only to find my skin with rashes, after.
The aforementioned observations are just part of my personal opinion which others may relate to. Anyway, through time tested trials and errors, as well, I found solutions that help me maintain acne free skin.
These are the healthy habits and tips I would like to share:
• Do not go to sleep without cleaning your face gently but thoroughly. This is a must for clearer skin. • Drink lots of water and eat healthy meals. It will show on your skin. • Exercise regularly. Like water, this helps in cleaning your system by flushing out the toxins. It gives a rosier complexion plus a fit body. • Use sun block. This is required for all skin types, dry or oily, sensitive or not. It does not only prevent skin from acne but also from skin cancer. • For skin that is prone to acne, use skin products that are mild and hypoallergenic. The same goes for hair products which at most times, touch the face.
My daily routine is cleanse, tone and moisturize. I use sun block at all times. Whenever I need to wear makeup, I make sure that it always works to my advantage, meaning, it will further enhance my acne free skin. So, I opt for products those materials of high quality. They may be a bit pricey but may be considered savings in the long run.
I am happy to say that even if I am in my forties, I have young and healthy looking skin. I have never been to a dermatologist in my entire life and I hope not to, in the near future.
I know that I have more important things to spend for. You may say that I am practical but not at the expense of my skin.
