Acne Laser Treatment

A recently posted article about acne in children being a sign of abnormality is absolutely true. I can say that in my case, acne laser treatment was the only way that my acne could be corrected.

My parents' initial reactions about that when acne started appearing on my face at the age of twelve was that I was probably lacking guidance and was overly exposed to too much sex and violence. My mother literally ransacked my room in search of any reading or video materials containing anything related to sex just to prove her suspicions that I had developed an overly active mind at the ripe young age of 12.

To her disappointment and relief as well, the only nude photos she found in my room were of me in my first-year as a baby, all intact in a photo album. In fact, I couldn't decide then, who I was more irritated with, my mom or my dad who kept winking at me behind my mother's back.

Anyway, since this is not about acne in children but more on the significance of acne laser treatment which came later when my acne became so severe by the time I was fourteen. My parents now considered bringing me to a dermatologist because they could no longer stand how miserable I looked with my ravaged face.

After several tests and a visit to some kind of specialist, it was discovered that somehow, I developed abnormally large glands during my growing up years. Subsequently, a cyst of some sort due to bacteria and oil build-up, caused the abnormally large sebaceous glands to produce oil without any hormonal triggers. The specialists recommended that acne laser treatments can be used to shrink down the size of the oil producing gland to a normal level.

My mother felt a bit guilty that she had let me suffer for two years sporting a ravaged pimply face when it could have been medically treated after all. Years later I teased her about it and told her that I knew she let me suffer through all the two years, to let me experience the price I had to pay for my wicked ways, and to my surprise I seemed to have hit a nail. Although meant as a joke, mom cried. I never made the mistake of teasing her again.

Anyway, all's well that ends well; the acne I suffered from in my teenage years became quite normal as they can be. A different laser treatment is used for shrinking the oil glands and from what I can remember the doctors mentioned something about the use of diodes. Low intensity blue light were used as acne laser treatment to destroy the bacteria that formed like cysts on my acne ravage skin.

However, I was advised that I should still work it out naturally through proper diet to avoid acne breakouts. It seemed that I developed those over developed glands due to improper diet. I was eating too many oily foods and at the same time I was not properly discharging waste which was creating imbalance. The only thing that prevented the imbalance from causing obesity is that I was active as a twelve-year old child. I somehow sweated out some of the oils but it was still manifested in the acne-in-children syndrome.

So far I went through the puberty and adolescent phase quite normally as far as acne problems were concerned. I had no more reason to undergo acne laser treatment because everything else was taken cared of through proper diet and hygiene.
