If you’re having acne problems, the most difficult part of course is finding the right acne treatment that works for you. The sad part is most acne treatments don’t work. You’ll find most of the prescribed creams and medications taking weeks to show results after claiming that it takes about 2 – 3 days or 1 week to see the results. Worst, when you find yourself reading reports that these acne treatments are making your acne problems worse instead of treating them. Now, how do you find an acne treatment that works if all these conflicting issues about acne treatments are out there?

One, you can look at the clinical studies. This will be helpful in your search for an acne treatment. Make sure that you read the actual or real studies and carefully read on what they are saying. For example, retinol a proven acne treatment but it takes about 12 weeks to show even small results. If you’re hoping to get rid of acne fast then retinol might not just work for you. Also, if you’re looking into getting rid of the zit for a date or attending a party, this most probably will not work at all. Another thing is if you’re looking for an acne treatment that works without side effects this is certainly not for you.

Two, you might have come across a review about bentonite clay. This substance was found that it naturally detoxifies the skin. Likewise, if you want an acne treatment that will help you get rid of acne, there are several other ingredients like tea tree oil. This is found to be as effective as the benzoyl peroxide but the bottom line is you also need to consider the side effects. Evidently, there are a lot of things you need to take into consideration if you really want find the acne treatment that really works.

Lastly, you need to consider your skin type as well. This will also take you into a lot of experimenting. The fact is nothing really works for everyone. This comes as a fact of life as well. The great news is there are acne treatments that work. The bad news is even if they work without side effects your skin type may just be the problem. You might have a sensitive skin or you might be allergic to this kind of treatment.

Treating acne problems can really sometimes be frustrating. You may find the right treatment that works but then end up having problems with your skin type. Or you may not have a problem on your skin type but the treatment does not work at all.
