Acne occurs when natural oils that the skin produces will be clogged in the pores. So much when eating foods with high fat content, especially those with high saturated fats and trans fats. So, modifying the diet will be more effective in solving this problem. There are varieties of food that we should avoid, and the right one to start including in our diet from now on.
What are the foods to avoid? Acne is cause by hormonal changes in the body that triggers the overproduction of oil in the sebaceous glands of the skin. Unnecessary fats in the diet will aggravate the formation of clogged oil in the pores. Thus, reducing the amount of fat intake is one thing to do. Another is to reduce the caffeine content in the diet. Since these hormones are often triggered by stress, caffeine is not advisable. Caffeine and other stimulants do not directly cause acne but they can worsen stress and stimulate acne breakouts. Avoid processed foods as it contains undigested toxins that can lead to acne. Avoid junked foods, processed meats, and sodas. Sugar is also known to aggravate and worsen the effects of acne. Cutting sugar content slowly is of great advantage. First thing is to eliminate candy bars and processed fruit juices in the diet. It is best to make your own fresh fruit juice at home. However, it is not advisable to skip sugar in the diet as this is essential in many body processes.
What are the suitable acne treatment diets? Water is the simplest way to control acne. Water acts as a natural cleanser and washes away impurities in the body. It also regulates hormones by diluting them and helps in digesting the food we eat. Thus, it is good to take six to eight glasses of water every day. Together with taking vitamins and minerals in the diet, a clearer and acne-free skin will be possible. Eating foods with high protein content will also help in decreasing the production of a certain enzyme that can cause more oil production, and increased clogging of pores. Eating fiber-rich foods like fruit and vegetables, wholegrains and cereals help to clean out your digestive tract. These will help eliminate undigested toxins from processed foods.
