Need Chin Acne Help?
Are you looking for chin acne help? Acne on the chin is very common and it can be a very embarrassing place to get pimples, since it is so exposed.
The acne on this location isn't any different from acne on other places around your face, or even on your body. Acne vulgaris is acne vulgaris... it's just that there may be subtle differences in how the zits form due to how thick or porous the skin is at that location.
Chin Acne Help for Women

Women tend to get breakouts on the chin around "that time of the month" due to the increased hormonal fluctuations. Breakouts can even occur as an adult. Hormones and acne are tightly linked, and this timing coincidence is further evidence to support that.
If you have this problem and wish to correct it, the first thing I recommend looking at is your diet. By making various adjustments to the foods you eat on a regular basis you can dramatically improve your health across the board, and this includes hormone swings with acne.
You can also try using some skin care products that exfoliate. These products contain alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) and beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs) like salicylic acid or glycolic acid. These will help reduce the chances for clogs to form so acne causing bacteria won't fester and cause inflammation.
Chin Acne Help for Men
While adult chin acne isn't as common for men due to the lack of hormonal swings that are experienced by women, it still happens. At the very least, when you're a teenager acne tends to crop up all over the face. This includes the chin, although it probably isn't favored over other areas.
Personally I hated chin acne, especially ever since I started shaving. It can be pretty hard not to irritate the skin or even break the pimple when shaving, especially if it's very inflamed cystic acne. Due to the shaving, irritation is increased on the chin and this increases the chances for acne as well.
I have to admit that I frequently just popped the pimples on purpose before shaving, since I didn't want to have to shave around them. Now I know that it's a terrible idea to do this. :) I had adult chin acne for well into my twenties and it was one of the most persistent breakout areas for me.
I found that using a high-quality BHA really helped prevent serious breakouts and helped with my chin acne treatment.
Are You Sure it's Chin Acne?

There's an acne look-a-like that can occur on the chin called milia, shown in the picture at the right. Milia can happen in adults from harsh face washes or heat stress, such as from hot showers with sensitive skin. It's not too terribly common, but if it happens you may need the help of a physician or an esthetician to get them removed if they don't leave on their own.
I've read an interesting study that has shown a link between fluoride toothpaste causing acne-like eruptions. It appears to be a sort of allergy to the fluoride. So if you only get acne breakouts around your mouth and you use a fluoride toothpaste, try switching to baking soda and mouthwash to see if it helps at all. It's worth a shot anyways.
